Apartment Resident Event Ideas For April 2021
As the weather warms up, you can begin planning outdoor events for your residents. But keep in mind, April is known to bring showers, so have backup plans in case of rain. Here are our top apartment resident event ideas for April 2021.
Egg Decorating: Set up craft tables outside with egg decorating stations. You can designate different tables for different mediums, such as paint, markers, dye, and more. Since producing a large number of hard-boiled eggs can be challenging, property managers can order wooden eggs off Amazon to decorate as an alternative.
Earth Day Celebration: Earth Day is celebrated this year on April 22nd. If your property has a garden, invite your residents to do some gardening or even plant something themselves. For fun, decorate your electric vehicle charging stations. You could also organize for a tree to be planted on Earth Day. This is also a great opportunity to remind residents about recycling and inform them of the building’s recycling system.
Celebrate Spring Break: In many parts of the country Spring Break for school-aged students falls around Easter each April. Property managers can set up a day of activities and games catering to children who are from school on Spring Break.
Easter Egg Hunt: Hide eggs throughout the property and invite residents to participate in an Easter egg hunt. Make prizes available for those participating and be sure every child leaves with something. You could also create an Easter egg scavenger hunt for the older kids. Academy Awards Night: Organize a viewing party on April 25th for the 2021 Oscars. Provide snacks, drinks, and even games! Hand out cards with the nominations and have the residents guess who will win, those with the most correct guesses at the end of the night will get a prize. You can also buy 1 or 2 copies of each film nominated for Best Picture and allow residents to borrow them throughout the month.

National Burrito Day on April 1st: Setting up a make your own burrito bar for the residents is usually a great way to celebrate this holiday. With COVID, some people may be wary of this idea, so you could arrange for premade burritos to be available for all the residents instead. One really easy way to execute this event is ordering from Chipotle. They offer easy online ordering, delivery, and have thousands of locations around the country.
National Pet Day on April 11th: Have your residents submit pictures of their pets and display them in a common area. Property managers can also post the pictures to their property’s Facebook group so residents can view and comment on pictures online as well.
National Picnic Day on April 23rd: Provide your residents with a list of parks and local spots where a picnic can be enjoyed. You can even include the names of local restaurants that residents can get take-out from to eat on their picnic.
